ADAMAWA STATE UNPAID NEWLY EMPLOYED CIVIL SERVANTS FROWNED AT GOVERNOR FINTIRI’S MOVES FOR FRESH EMPLOYMENT

By: Adamu Hamza Marree Talum

If we recalled two years ago, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has made appointment of over 190 professional civil servants in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering, Agric. Engineering and Survey.

The appointments were made after much consideration in the aforementioned fields that there were shortages of man power which can rejuvenate the sectors. It was indeed a welcome development for many years there was no employment of this kind in those sectors.

However, those newly employed civil servants who were posted to their various ministries are still not biometrically captured hence, they are still unpaid.

Few days ago, news had it that there will be other recruitments of civil servants despite the fact that the previous ones whom were employed by His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Fintiri are still pending and this bombshell has teased the psychological imbalances and perturbs of these unpaid civil servants that have been working for good two years without motivation.

They totally express their overwhelming dissatisfactions at the story went round and they want governor Fintiri to reconsider their appointments and get them biometrically captured and finally paid.

This group of struggling civil servants according to them bears no ill-will against the governor and they fully participated in his tenure annexation, whereas they appreciate his immense contribution of his urban renewal agenda and they are fully in support of his political achievements which can strategically get Adamawa State out of wood.

They once again call on the governor to please temper justice with mercy and reconsider their appointments valid.
